Cresson, PA - The Mount Aloysius women's soccer team lost 1-0 to visiting Pitt-Greensburg on Wednesday afternoon in AMCC play.

After nearly 87 minutes of scoreless soccer, Greensburg's Tiffani Downey scored on a breakaway down the left sideline to give the visitors the lead.

After a scoreless first half, the Mounties started out strong in the second 45 minutes as Maggi Ferguson and Olivia Woodley both had great chances in front of goal stopped by Greensburg's Amanda Hydock.

Goalkeeper Zara Apakoh stopped six shots for the Mount.

The Mounties return to action Saturday with a home contest against D'Youville. The Mounties will need a victory to keep their playoff hopes alive.
