Cresson, PA - Despite a strong first half performance, the Mount Aloysius women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to visiting D'Youville on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Mounties are eliminated from playoff contention.

The Mounties held D'Youville off the board until the 55th minute as Melissa LaVere put a shot past the Mount's Zara Apakoh. The visitors added insurance goals in the 77th and 89th minute to record the victory.

Elizabeth Josephson (four shots) was dangerous from the backline on free kicks for the Mount. Olivia Woodley added two shots for the game.

The Mounties will conclude their season Tuesday with a home contest against Franciscan University.
