Box Score Hamburg, NY - The Mount Aloysius women's soccer team lost 3-2 in double overtime in their conference opener on Saturday afternoon at Hilbert College.
Jorden Eutsey got the Mount off to a tremendous start as she scored just under five minutes into the game after a scramble following a corner kick. The Mounties continued to pressure but couldn't increase the lead, and Hilbert took advantage with a goal with ten minutes to play before the half.
Tracey Ecklund again gave Mounties Aloysius the lead as she put in a cross from
Olivia Woodley with 34 minutes left to play. However, Hilbert fought back once again as Jackie Morgan scored with 6:45 left on the clock.
The Mounties had their opportunities late but couldn't convert before Morgan scored on an arching long-distance shot 1:50 into the second overtime period.
Megan Parker and Woodley each registered six shots, as the Mounties outshot the home side 21-13.
Mount Aloysius returns to action on Tuesday for a make-up contest at home against Chatham University.
