Mounties Fall to Penn State Harrisburg

Box Score
Cresson, PA - Despite outshooting the opposition 23-10, the Mount Aloysius women's soccer team lost 3-2 on Saturday afternoon to visiting Penn State-Harrisburg.

Olivia Woodley got the Mount in front with four minutes to go in the opening half after some nice combination passing from Kristin James and Shelby Anderson. Woodley broke free on a through ball and scored to make it 1-0 in favor of the Mount heading into the half.

Harrisburg made the most of their opportunities in the second half as Fay Ansary scored in the 53rd and 70th minute to make it 2-1. After Rachel Shetler scored to make it 3-1 Harrisburg, Anderson scored on a breakaway attempt to cut the deficit to 3-2. The Mount had a few great opportunities late, but Harrisburg keeper Mackenzie Gates came up with a couple of point-blank stops.

Woodley recorded a game-high 10 shots for the Mounties, while Megan Parker finished with five shots, all on goal.

The Mounties are back in action next Saturday as they host Thiel College.
