Cresson, PA - In their final non-conference matchup of the season, the Mount Aloysius women's soccer team lost 3-0 to visiting Juniata College on Wednesday afternoon.

Juniata scored two goals in the first 14 minutes of play to take control, and the visiting Eagles added a third goal in the 31st minute to take a 3-0 lead into halftime.

The Mounties responded with a better showing in the second half, as the home team notched four shots in the second period of play. Mackenzie Horne had a great chance off of a corner kick opportunity, but her shot fell right into the hands of Juniata keeper Erin Mueller. Minutes later, Olivia Hannan got behind the defense and ripped a shot that went directly to Mueller's hands.

Mary Durle led the Mounties offensively with two shots. Goalkeeper Zara Apakoh made eight saves in net.

The Mounties return to action on Saturday with a home contest against Penn State Behrend set for 1 p.m. Mount Aloysius will honor Elizabeth Josephson and Horne as part of Senior Day.
