Altoona, PA - The Mount Aloysius men's tennis team opened up their spring season with a 9-0 loss in non-conference play to Lancaster Bible on Sunday afternoon at the Altoona Summit Tennis and Athletic Club.

In the first action of their collegiate careers, Aubrey Brown and Matt Hample fared well at #1 and #2 singles, as Brown lost the second game 6-4 and Hample took his opponent to the wire with a 7-6 loss in the first game. Ricky Abbs put forth a strong effort at #5 singles, losing 6-2, 7-5. In #3 doubles, Joey Gearhart and Kevin Ouellette lost 8-5 in another close matchup.

The Mounties resume play on Friday with a 6 pm matchup against Penn State Behrend.
