Box Score 2 Cresson, PA - The Mount Aloysius softball team split an AMCC doubleheader with Pitt-Bradford on Sunday afternoon at home, winning game one 6-3 before falling in game two with a score of 4-3.
In game one, the Mounties received hits from nine different players and broke open the game with a four-run sixth inning highlighted by a pinch-hit single from
Emilee Gearhart that brought in two runs.
Kelsey Ickes got the win for the Mounties, and
Heather Picard closed things out in the seventh to seal the victory.
The Mounties lost a back-and-forth game two as Bradford scored two runs apiece in the first and sixth innings. Picard was handed the loss despite allowing only two earned runs, while
Jalisa Westover and
Hayley McGowan each had two hits and
Chelsea Engeholm had an RBI double that scored two runs in the fifth inning.
