Altoona, PA - The Mount Aloysius men's tennis team fell to AMCC opponent Penn State Altoona by a score of 7-2 on Wednesday afternoon at the Summit Tennis and Athletic Club on Wednesday afternoon in their final conference competition of the season.
Justin Fleegle scored a victory at #3 singles for the Mounties. After falling in set one by a score of 6-4, he responded with a 6-2 win and a 10-7 victory in the tiebreaker. In similar fashion,
Kevin Ouellette responded from a 6-4 defeat in game one at #6 singles with a 7-6 win and a 10-3 tiebreaking victory. At #5 singles,
Ricky Abbs lost two close games by scores of 7-5, 7-5.
In doubles competition,
Joel Fleegle and
Joey Gearhart performed well at #3 doubles before falling 8-5.
The Mounties return to action Friday with a non-conference matchup against Bethany College at the Summit at 3 p.m.
