Pittsburgh, PA - The Mount Aloysius women's soccer team played well defensively, but couldn't find a goal on the offensive end and fell by a final score of 1-0 to host La Roche College on Tuesday afternoon in AMCC action.

The Mounties had two great chances early as Olivia Woodley broke through the defense but her shot was stopped by the La Roche keeper. Mount Aloysius pressured in the second half with four shots on net, with two apiece from Woodley and Kristin James, but couldn't break through for the tying goal.

The Mountie backline of Caitlin Greiner, Jorden Eutsey and Leanne Cardoso-Bastos played well in defeat in limiting the Redhawks to eight shots on goal. Goalkeeper Zara Apakoh registered seven saves.

Mount Aloysius will look to get back into the winning column on Saturday with a home match against Medaille College.
