Mounties Win Four Matches on Day Two at KU Invite


Kutztown, PA - The Mount Aloysius bowling team returned to the lanes on Sunday for Day Two of the KU Fall Baker Invite. Through five traditional game matches, the Mounties went 4-1 overall.

Freshman Rayissa Amon anchored the Mounties with a 188.2 average for five games. Freshman Clara Angeloff came into the lineup in Match #2 and never looked back tallying up a 187.5 average for four games. Another freshman, Lucy Craig, stepped into the lineup in Match #3 and averaged 185 for three games. Other team members contributed to the day's success including
 freshman Jessica Bello (163.75 average), freshman Beth Longer (152 average), sophomore Jill Vietmeier (152 average), freshman Michelle Magee (144 average) and freshman Jennifer Bertoldi (142.3 average).   

Despite putting forth a strong effort in Match #1, the Mounties lost to Howard University 911-817. The team bounced back and won Match #2 733-661 over Daemen, Match #3 over Thiel 883-750, Match #4 940-765 over Felician and Match # 5 850-811 over Caldwell University. 

The Lady Mounties will be back on the lanes at their first AMCC meet in Buffalo, New York on November 14 and November 15.
