Altoona, PA - With a total pinfall of 4,635, defending champion Pitt-Bradford sits atop the standings after day one of the AMCC bowling championship at Holiday Bowl in Altoona, PA.
The Mounties of Mount Aloysius College are in second place with 4,478 total pins while Medaille College is third with 4,436, and Penn St. Altoona rounds out the field with 4,031.
Katie Gales led the Mounties with 1,075 total pins, while Jill Vietmeier was next in line for Mount Aloysius with 858 total pins.
Saturday's matches were played using the team format, with every team bowling each other twice. Total pinfall for the two-game match determined the win-loss vs. each opponent. Mount Aloysius fell to Pitt-Bradford before defeating Medaille and Penn State Altoona to complete the day with a 2-1 record.
Sunday will be played using the Baker format.
