Box Score 2 Steubenville, OH - The Mount Aloysius softball team defeated Franciscan by scores of 6-0 and 16-6 in a doubleheader sweep on Tuesday afternoon on the road in AMCC action.
Game one was highlighted by a complete game two-hit performance on the rubber by Mountie pitcher
Kelsey Ickes. Ickes also struck out nine batters for the ballgame. Offensively,
Alexandria Teeter led the Mounties with three hits, while
Sam Crilley went 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBI's.
Chelsea Engeholm and
Kaleigh Roop each scored two runs.
With the victories, the Mounties improve to 3-1 in conference play and 10-8 overall on the season. Mount Aloysius returns to the field tomorrow with a home doubleheader against Medaille that is set to start at 1 p.m.
