Greensburg, PA - The Mount Aloysius men's tennis team was defeated by Pitt-Greensburg by a final score of 9-0 on Sunday evening on the road at the Greensburg Racquet Club.
Matt Hample and
Justin Fleegle were defeated 8-2 at #1 doubles, and
Nick Centar and
Kevin Ouellette fell by the same margin at #2 doubles. Greensburg completed the doubles sweep as
John Ouellette and
Aubrey Brown lost by an 8-3 margin.
In singles play, the Mounties received strong showings from Fleegle and
Kevin Ouellette. Fleegle, playing at #1 singles, dropped a 6-2, 6-4 decision. Ouellette competed well at #4 singles and lost a tiebreeaker 7-6 before losing the second game by a 6-2 score.
With the loss, the Mounties fall to 3-5 overall and 1-4 in conference play. They return to the court tomorrow evening with an AMCC road match at Franciscan.
