Box Score Williamsport, PA - The Mount Aloysius women's soccer team was defeated by Lycoming College by a final score of 5-1 on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action on the road.
The host Warriors scored an early less than six minutes into the game and increased the advantage to 2-0 at the 25:34 mark. The Mounties did build up some chances through the play of
Amanda Brancato, but the deficit remained at two heading into the halftime break.
The second half was dominated by the Warriors early on as the home side scored on a penalty kick less than one minute into the half and added a goal off of a corner kick two minutes later. After the advantage reached 5-0, the Mounties did receive a bright spot when
Jordan Gebhart drove in a free kick from 35 yards out to break the shutout.
Olivia Woodley led the Mounties with four shots offensively, while goalkeeper
Zara Apakoh stopped four shots in goal.
Mount Aloysius returns to action on Thursday with a trip to Juniata College for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
