Steubenville, OH - The Mount Aloysius men's and women's cross country teams competed on Saturday at the Franciscan Cross Country Meet. Host Franciscan, Carlow and La Roche also competed at the invitational, and Franciscan ended the day winning the invitational on both the men's and women's sides.

Miguel Hernandez paced the men's side with a final time of 41:11 to finish in 19th place among individual competitors, while Michael Haluska was right behind him with a 20th place finish and final time of 43:19.

On the women's team, Laken Lapso had a strong showing with a 12th place finish and overall time of 26:42. Morgan Strait was next in line for Mount Aloysius with a time of 28:12 to finish in 17th overall.

The cross country teams return to competition next Saturday at Frostburg State University.
