Ebensburg, PA - The Mount Aloysius men's tennis team notched a non-conference victory on Sunday afternoon by a final score of 7-2 over visiting Westminster College.
The Mounties swept doubles action as the duo of
Nick Goldyn and
Matt Hample won 8-4 at #1 doubles followed by a 8-0 victory for
Aubrey Brown and Trent McErlane at #2 doubles.
Jalen Terry and
Dylan Matta registered a 8-1 win at #3 doubles to complete the sweep. In singles play, McErlane, Brown, Terry and
Nick Centar each won by comfortable margins at the #3, #4, #5 and #6 singles positions respectively to hand Mount Aloysius the team victory. Goldyn and Hample both lost in tiebreaking fashion in #1 and #2 singles action.
The Mounties improve to 2-3 on the season and will return to the court on Saturday with a home match against Geneva at noon.
