Ebensburg, PA - The Mount Aloysius men's tennis team earned their second victory in a row with a 7-2 win over visiting Geneva in a non-conference match on Saturday afternoon at Ebensburg Tennis Center.
The Mounties swept doubles play as
Nick Goldyn and
Matt Hample won 8-3 at #1 singles followed by an 8-5 win for
Trent McErlane and
Aubrey Brown at #2 doubles.
Jalen Terry and
Nick Centar wrapped up the doubles sweep with an 8-4 victory at #3 doubles.
Mount Aloysius then got a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory at #1 singles from Goldyn. McErlane won 6-0, 7-5 at #3 singles to clinch the team victory, while Brown and Centar also registered victories at #4 and #6 singles respectively.
The Mounties improve to 3-3 overall and 3-1 in their spring season. They will return to the courts after spring break on March 17th for their conference opener at home against Pitt-Greensburg at 5 p.m.Â
