Greenville, PA - The Mount Aloysius men's tennis team notched a non-conference victory by a final score of 7-2 on Wednesday afternoon against host Thiel College.
The Mounties took two of the three doubles matches as
Nick Goldyn and
Matt Hample recorded a 8-2 victory at #1 doubles followed by
Trent McErlane and
Nick Centar teaming up for a close 9-8 win at #2 doubles. Mount Aloysius then controlled singles play with victories in five of the six singles matches. Hample won 10-7 at #2 singles followed by a dominating 10-0 performance for McErlane at #3 singles. Centar registered a 10-3 win at #4 singles while
Dylan Matta took home a 10-6 victory at #5 singles.
Jalen Terry wrapped up the Mountie victory with a decisive 10-0 victory at the #6 singles position.Â
The Mounties improve to 8-7 overall and will conclude their season on Thursday with a non-conference matchup at Lycoming College at 4 p.m.
