Cresson, PA - The Mount Aloysius College women's soccer team has taken home their third straight victory in a row defeating conference opponent Medaille on Saturday afternoon by a final score of 3-0. 

The first Mountie goal was struck just over three minutes into the match when Summer Schell let fly a penalty kick that found the back of the net. The Mounties then extended their lead in the second period when Mount Aloysius's own Cheyenne Kuncher buried a shot on a breakaway after a well-placed through ball from Brianna Byler. Katie Mirance would tack on the third and final goal of the match off an assist from Amanda Brancato with just under a minute remaining in the match.

The Mount Aloysius backline of Schell, Grace Alsop, Leah Frerichs and Katie Quillman, along with Amanda Schneider, had a good showing as they did not allow a single shot in front of keeper Leanne Cardoso-Bastos. The Mounties outshot the Mavericks by a margin of 19-0 for the match. Jordan Gebhart led Mount Aloysius in shots with four.

The Mounties next match will be against non-conference opponent Bethany College on Tuesday on the road at 7:30 p.m.
