Bethany, WV - The Mount Aloysius women's soccer team played a close match on Tuesday evening in West Virginia, but just came up short against Bethany College by a final margin of 1-0.
 
In this non-conference matchup, both teams would trade nearly identical numbers in terms of shots taken, saves and fouls. But it only took one unfortunate turnover to tilt the game in Bethany College's favor as the Bison scored 10 minutes into the game off of a Mountie error in the backline.
 
Jordan Gebhart led the Mounties with three shots and Cheyenne Kuncher recorded two shots. In the second half, Gebhart nearly had a goal off of a header but it hit the post. Minutes later, Kuncher rifled a shot that rang off the bottom of the crossbar.
 
The defeat put an end to Mounties recent three-game win streak.
