Cresson, PA- Mount Aloysius is the place to be in the AMCC on Saturday as the Mounties will host three separate conference games of the week, which will have playoff seeding implications, as well as one playoff match.

The Women's Tennis team finished their season at 11-2 with a 6-2 record in the AMCC. Their season was good enough to earn the #3 seed in the AMCC Conference Tournament. They are led by Seniors Emily Goldyn, who plays in both the #1 doubles pairing as well as #1 singles and Leah Stoehr, who plays in the #2 doubles pairing and #4 singles. Goldyn is 6-5 on the year in singles, often playing their opponents top player, and 9-2 in doubles play, with her partner, Freshman Chloe Love. Stoehr finished the year with a record of 11-2 overall in singles and 12-1 record in doubles play. In their playoff match, the Mounties will take on the #6 seed LaRoche College at 1:00 PM at Ebensburg Tennis Center. When the two teams met earlier in the year the Mounties came away with a 8-1 victory.

Women's Volleyball is currently 16-8 on the year, including an unblemished 7-0 record in conference play which sees the Mounties in first place in the AMCC. The Mounties are currently on an 11 game winning streak. On Saturday they will take on Penn State Behrend who sits just behind the Mounties in the standings at 6-1. A Mountie win will see them clinch the #1 overall seed in the conference's end of season tournament. Mount Aloysius is led by seniors Sarah Fisher and Jessica Bressler. Fisher, a middle hitter is in the top 5 of most offensive categories highlighted by her .311 hitting percentage. As one of the Mounties setters, Bressler directs the Mountie offense and has racked up 468 assists on the season, good enough for 3rd in the Conference. Seniors are not the only contributors for the Mounties as they also have received strong play from underclassmen. Machala Gibbons is an all-around threat for the Mounties as she is in the top 10 in the conference in both kills, 249, and digs 307. Earlier this year, Gibbons set a program record for kills in a match as she tallied 33 in a 5 set thriller against Hood College. That mark is not only a Mount Aloysius Program record, but also is the third most kills in a match across all of NCAA Division III competition. Finally the Mounties Defense is led by sophomore libero Kylee Clawson. Clawson is ranked 2nd in the conference in both digs and digs per set. In under two years she has racked up 995 digs, as she looks to break the 1,000 mark on Saturday. The match will begin at 1:00 PM in the ACWC.
