Coach Jones said, "Although the win-loss record was not what we hoped for, this team proved that we are a force to be reckoned with. Our traditional average was right where it needs to be and our baker average was above the goal we set for ourselves. The freshmen were unshaken and strong and the upperclassmen proved that they are the real deal. This is going to be a year of many firsts and I am very confident that we are going to see a lot of success in 2018-19."
The team is off for two weeks before heading to Virginia Union University to face a 20 team field including many top 20 teams.
