The final day of competition brought the best effort of the weekend and the Lady Mounties won 2 of their 3 matches defeating Fayetteville State 1144/1026 in match 1 (198/149, 167/135, 174/144, 153/157, 142/148, 153/163, 157/130), losing to Wilmington 842/836 (140/170, 212/145, 186/194, 174/179 and 130/147) then battling Fayetteville for the third time over the weekend 1224/1129 (180/181, 136/189, 214/132, 136/147, 166/159, 203/161, 189/160).  High baker average Sunday went to Michelle Bello 17.7, Jessica Bello 17.3, Maria Claycomb 17.2 and Kaitlyn Klein 17.1.

Coach Jones said, "The lane condition was brutal this weekend and the scoring pace for the entire field was low.  Nonetheless, our team pulled out some very difficult wins and gathered a lot of experience.  We were able to get 8 of our 9 team members in the line up and several bowlers really stepped up.  Although we were only able to record a 7-5 over the weekend and finished in 13th of 19.  We are now more prepared for longer oil patterns and are looking forward to the remainder of the season."

The Lady Mounties are now 11-10 in the NCAA and are still well ahead of their scoring pace from previous seasons.  They will head to Kettering Ohio this weekend for the Roto Grip Raider Classic.
