Reading, PA = The Lady Mounties traveled over the weekend for the three-day Golden Bear Classic hosted by Kutztown University. This event is the only three-day all baker event held in the NCAA. MAC Bowling finished the weekend with a 6/7 tally in a very tough tournament which included several top 20 schools as well as many Division I and Division II competitors, and finished ninth overall among competing schools. The Mounties currently hold a 35/31 record in the NCAA and a 13/1 record in the AMCC.
Day 1 results were: MAC v. Roberts Weselyn 876/755, MAC v Chestnut Hill 803/876, MAC v Felician 882/961, MAC v Kutztown 763/905 and LIU Post 1003/806. They were 2/3 that day.
Day 2 results were: MAC v Collin 895/837, MAC v SFU 898/833, MAC v Adelphi 900/935, MAC v Wilmington 787/799 and MAC v Franklin Pierce 832/847 a 2/3 day 2 tally.
Day 3 results were: MAC v Wilmington 825/788 (181/165, 148/146, 180/151, 139/175, 177/151); MAC v Morgan State 1123/1186 (170/203, 191/181, 244/188, 159/188, 167/202, 192/224); MAC v Chestnut Hill 708/565 (165/156, 157/104, 190/135, 196/170).
High averages for the weekend were
Rayissa Amon 18.3,
Lucy Craig 18.0,
Brooke Edelman 17.7 and
Michelle Bello and
Beth Longer each rolling a 16.6.
"We are off to Morgan State to finish up a 4-tournament run on 2/16 through 2/18. We will be waiting to see if we get a bid from USBC for the sectional meet taking place in March, the selection will be announced 2/22. We will then prepare for the AMCC Championships in Buffalo," Head Coach
