Landisville, PA - The Mount Aloysius men's tennis team registered its second straight victory with a 7-2 win against host Lancaster Bible College on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action.
The Mounties swept doubles play led by a close #1 doubles competition in which
Nick Goldyn and
Nick Centar won 9-8 in a 7-2 tiebreaker.
Trent McErlane and
Dylan Matta took a 8-2 victory at #2 doubles, and
Christopher Godet teamed up with
John Branick to win 8-5 at #3 doubles.
In singles action, Centar recorded a 6-1, 7-5 victory at #2 singles and McErlane clinched the team victory with a 6-1, 6-0 win at #3 singles. Matta (#4 singles) and Godet (#5 singles) also registered victories in singles competition.
The Mounties improve to 2-2 overall and will return to the courts on March 16th in their conference opener at Pitt-Greensburg.
