Cresson, PA - The Mount Aloysius men's tennis team lost a pair of matches on Friday and Saturday. The Mounties fell in their conference opener on Friday by a final margin of 6-3 to Pitt-Greensburg before dropping a 9-0 decision to St. Vincent on Saturday afternoon.
Nick Goldyn and
Nick Centar played very well at the #1 doubles spot against Greensburg, winning by a final score of 8-1. Goldyn continued his strong play at #1 singles with a 6-2, 7-6 decision, and
Dylan Matta registered the Mounties other individual victory with a 6-3, 6-2 win. Centar lost in a tiebreaker at #2 singles while Matta and
Christopher Godet lost by a close 8-6 decision in #2 doubles.
Mount Aloysius was then swept by St. Vincent in non-conference action on Saturday, dropping their overall record to 2-4.
The Mounties return to the court on Friday with a 5 p.m. match against Penn State Altoona.
