Michelle Bello averaged 18.6 and Rayissa Amon averaged 17.8.  The Mounties led all teams at the close of day one.

Saturday saw the Mounties compete in the traditional format. Mount Aloysius won all 5 matches on the day. They defeated Penn State Altoona 988-698, Kutztown 904-821, Penn State Behrend 958-664, Felician 894-833 and LIU Post 1031-887. The final match against LIU was a new team record for the program. High average in this format went to Casey Schaffer, who averaged a 204 for 3 games and Amon, who averaged a 204 for 5 games. Nicole Nebel averaged 200 for 3 games, Michelle Bello averaged 184 for 5 games, Jessica Bello averaged 181 for 4 games and Kaitlyn Klein averaged 179 for 5 games. As a team they posted a 191 average on the day, which kept them well ahead of the competition heading into Sunday's Finals.

On the final day of competition the Mounties took on #2 SFU first and handed the home team a 4-1 defeat with scores of 163-159, 171-169, 176-156, 125-182 and 223-167.  The Lady Mounties then defeated Penn State Behrend 4-0 with scores of 137-130, 164-137, 160-120, 172-151. This set the Mounties back in the top position match where they had a rematch against the hosts, Saint Francis University. The match went all 7 rounds with the Mounties falling in the final game in a 4-3 loss. The game scores for the final match were 160-157, 169-188, 200-157, 191-210, 133-176, 215-183 and 138-183.

Of the team's performance Coach Jones said, "We were dominant all weekend and led the field in scoring throughout. Although the final game dropped the team to a second place finish, this team has firmly established themselves as a powerful opponent and force on the lanes. Nicole Nebel stepped into the anchor position in the championship match and never flinched rolling a 23.8 baker average for 29 frames. This is yet another school record broken as the ceiling gets ever higher for this bowling program. To say we are proud of these athletes is an understatement. We honored our seniors Saturday evening and hope that this team continues to give them memories of a lifetime!"

Along with the second place finish as a team, Amon placed her second overall on the All Tournament Team as an individual.

The Lady Mounties will return to the lanes this weekend as they head to Buffalo on February 2 and 3 for the first round of AMCC competition.
