Altoona -- The Mount Aloysius Bowling Team hosted two dual matches this past weekend in Altoona, PA, against AMCC foes, La Roche and Penn State Altoona.
On Saturday, the Mounties hosted AMCC newcomer, LaRoche University, for a traditional match and a Baker match. The Mounties won the traditional match 739-669. High scorer for the Mounties was
Kelsey Hammons with a 171. Mount Aloysius settled in a bit more during the Baker match defeating the Redhawks, 871-601. High Baker average was
Savannah Prather who posted a 21.6 average. She anchored the Mountie charge throughout the Baker match.
On Sunday, the Mounties defeated Penn State Altoona in both a traditional and Baker match. The Mount Aloysius rolled an 893 to Penn State Altoona's 602. High traditional scorer was
Nicole Nebel with a 224, followed by
Kelsey Hammons who posted a 200. The Baker match was dominated by the Mounties who rolled 849 to Penn State Altoona's 492.
Michelle Bello rolled an impressive 22.6 average for the match.Â
Mount Aloysius improved their record to 8-6. Their next tournament will take place November 1-3, at the Virginia Union Invitational.
