CRESSON --
Cross Country
The Men's and Women's Cross Country Schedule has been released for the Fall of 2019. It consists of six meets, culminating with the AMCC Meet, hosted by Penn State Behrend on November 2nd.
They start the season with a short trip down the road to Saint Francis University on August 30. The following three weekends, they will travel to meets at Westmoreland County Community College, Penn State Behrend, and Franciscan, respectively. The meet at Penn State Behrend is the AMCC Preview Race on September 13.
The final regular season race is at La Roche on October 19th. The AMCC Championship meet, is scheduled for November 2nd, and will be the final meet of the season.
Golf
For the Fall of 2019, the Men's Golf team will begin play on August 31st, when they travel to the Pitt-Bradford Invitional at Pine Acres Country Club. They will follow that up with a two-day tournament at Allegheny College on September 8th and 9th. The Guy & Jean Kuhn Memorial Invitational will be played at the Country Club of Meadville. Then on Thursday, September 12, the Mounties will compete in the Grove City College Fall Invitational at Grove City Country Club.
The home weekend starts with a short trip to Sinking Valley Country Club on September 21st, for a tournament hosted by Penn State Altoona. The weekend finishes on Sunday the 22nd, when the MAC Fall Invitational takes place at Summit Country Club. In the past, some teams have competed in both tournaments and it has been called the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic.
The AMCC Championships will take place on October 6 and 7, at the Avalon Lakes Golf and Country Club, in Warren, OH. Last season, the Mounties finished in 7th place.
Mount Aloysius will also play a tournament hosted by La Roche University, at some point this fall. Details have yet to be released.
Tennis
The Women's Tennis team has 13 fall matches on tap. Eight of those are against AMCC opponents.
Four of their five non-AMCC foes are members of the Presidents' Athletics Conference; Bethany, Geneva, Grove City, and Saint Vincent. Lycoming College fills the other spot in the schedule when they visit the Mounties on October 4th.
The eight AMCC matches will be very important for the Mounties, as they finished last season in third place, and made a run before losing in the AMCC Tournament Final.
The Men's team will play six of their 16 total matches in the fall semester, with four of them being against AMCC opponents. They begin on the road, with trips to Lycoming and Penn State Altoona, on September 6th and 14th, respectively. Their remaining four fall matches are all at home, against Pitt-Greensburg, Penn State Behrend, Pitt-Bradford, and Washington & Jefferson. The Men's fall season will finish on September 28th.
