EBENSBURG -- The Mount Aloysius Men's Tennis team played two AMCC matches over the weekend. They took one on the chin Saturday, as they fell to Penn State Behrend, before sweeping Pitt-Bradford on Sunday.
On Saturday, FreshmanÂ
Caleb Beidle went undefeated in his second singles spot and first doubles.Â
Cole Kazmierczyk (Johnstown, PA, Richland)Â was the only other Mountie to win a singles match, as he played in the third position.Â
Matt Blose (Punxsutawney, PA, Punxsutawney) was part of the first doubles duo, with Beidle, but fell at first singles, 6-4, 6-4.
In Sunday's weekend finale, Pitt-Bradford failed to win a single set, as the Mounties swept the match, 9-0. Kazmierczyk completely blanked his opponent at third singles, as Beidle, Blose,
Adam Snyder, andÂ
Adam Tussey (Pine Grove Mills, PA, State College) all blanked their opponents in one set apiece. In the sixth singles spot, was able to keep the Panthers off the board, as he won his match, closely, 7-6.
The Mounties are scheduled to finish the fall portion of their schedule, next Saturday, when they travel to Washington & Jefferson. They will play their two remaining AMCC matches as part of their spring schedule.
