Mason and Walls Score to Push Women's Soccer Past La Roche

Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The Mount Aloysius Women's Soccer won their second consecutive game, on Wednesday, when they topped La Roche, 2-1.

Leaders
- Kourtney Walls (Salix, PA, Forest Hills) led the Mounties with three total points, as she notched the game-winning goal and tallied an assist.
- Jordan Mason (Hagerstown, MD, St. Maria Goretti) scored the Mounties' other goal, which was her third goal of the season.
- La Roche goalie, Bella Costanzo, had a game-high, 13 saves. Lauren Davey (Leonardtown, MD, St. Mary's Ryken) had two saves in goal for Mount Aloysius.

How It Happened
- Mount Aloysius struck first. Each team took a shot on goal, before Mason scored on the Mounties' next shot. Walls earned the assist on the goal, which put the Mounties up, 1-0.
- The Mounties forced Costanzo to make five more saves in the half, but were unable to score, heading into the locker room up, 1-0.
- In the second half, La Roche tied the game on one of their three shots on goal.
- Walls found the back of the net, for the game-winner, late in the second half. La Roche was unable to respond, giving the Mounties the victory.

Into the Box Score
- Mount Aloysius outshot the Redhawks, 21-5, over the course of the game.
- The Mounties also recorded all three corner kicks in the game.

Up Next
- Mount Aloysius is scheduled to host, Medaille, on Saturday for Senior Day. The game is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
