Beaver Falls, Pa. -- The Mount Aloysius Bowling team participated in the AMCC Championship on March 13 at Sim's Lanes in Beaver Falls, PA. They were ousted by losses to Saint Vincent and New Jersey City.
In Match #1, the Mounties faced Saint Vincent. The first game of the modified mega match was in the traditional format and Mount Aloysius rolled an impressive 890, but Saint Vincent bowled a 940. In that game,
Michelle Bello (Pennsauken, NJ, Pennsauken)Â rolled the high game of the tournament of 237, which placed her third overall in the traditional category. The Mounties fell in their Baker match against the Bearcats, 837-762.
In Match #2, Mount Aloysius faced New Jersey City, in the first elimination match of the tournament. The traditional Match was extremely close, coming down to the final frames, where the Mounties rolled 805, compared to the Knights score of 832. In order to advance, Mount Aloysius needed to defeat the Knights in the Baker round, but struggled with pin carry and ultimately fell, 848-710.
The Mounties loss to NJCU, ended the season for them. They were awarded the AMCC Regular Season Co-Champion plaque, at the conclusion of the day. The high scorer for the Mounties was Bello, with a 196 traditional average and a 17.5 baker average, ending a very successful career.

Savannah Prather (Erie, PA, Harbor Creek), were honored during the senior recognitions and rolled their final frames, as Mounties, on Saturday.
