ERIE, Pa. -- On Saturday, the Mount Aloysius Men's Tennis team finished their AMCC schedule, 4-0 on the season, clinching the #1 seed in the AMCC postseason tournament. They defeated Penn State Behrend, 6-3, to earn the victory.

The Mounties won two of the three Doubles matches, to get a 2-1 advantage, heading into singles. #1 Doubles partners, Caleb Beidle (Bedford, PA, Bedford) and Bruce Perow (Huntingdon, PA, Huntingdon), won a close 8-5 match, while the #3 Doubles team of Tanner Beck (Lancaster, PA, Hempfield) and Adam Tussey (Pine Grove Mills, PA, State College) won 8-4.

Beidle, Perow, and Beck, all picked up key victories in Singles, at the #1, #3, and #6 positions, respectively, earning their second points of the match. The sixth point came from  who won the #2 Singles match, 6-1, 7-5.

Mount Aloysius clinched their first Regular Season championship in Men's Tennis and is looking to win their first tournament championships, as well. They will play a non-conference match, April 11th, against Frostburg State, prior to their appearance in the AMCC Tournament.
