Men's Tennis Starts AMCC Schedule 1-0

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The Mount Aloysius Men's Tennis team picked up their first win of the 2021-22 season, on Saturday, when they beat Pitt-Bradford.

Mount Aloysius won all seven of the contested matches against the Panthers. #3 Doubles and #6 Singles were lost by forfeit.

Cole Kazmierczyk (Johnstown, PA, Richland) and Bruce Perow (Huntingdon, PA, Huntingdon) teamed up first to win #1 Doubles, before they split up and each earned victories at the top two singles positions. Adam Tussey (Pine Grove Mills, PA, State College) and Adam Snyder (Weedville, PA, St. Mary's Area) each did the same at #2 Doubles before earning individual victories at #3 Singles and #4 Singles, respectively. Matt Jacobs (Somerset, PA, Somerset) won his college debut at #5 Singles, 6-0, 6-0.

In the victory, the Mounties only dropped four total games, as the majority of the matches were sweeps.

The Mounties are scheduled to get back in action, October 3, when they host Pitt-Greensburg in another AMCC matchup.
