PITTSBURGH -- On Wednesday night, the Mount Aloysius Women's Soccer team traveled to Pittsburgh to face the Chatham Cougars. After striking first, the Mounties gave up four goals in the 4-1 defeat.

Jasmine Hinton (Huntingtown, MD, Huntingtown) led the Mounties with three shots, including her first career college goal.

Hannah Kimmel (Mercersburg, PA, James Buchanan) added her first career assist on the Hinton goal. She also added a shot.

Lauren Davey (Leonardtown, MD, St. Mary's Ryken), had a season-high, 15 saves, facing 19 shots.
How It Happened
- Mount Aloysius got the game started quickly, as Hinton fired in her goal on the first shot of the game, in the fifth minute. The goal put the Mounties on the board first, ahead 1-0.
- Chatham rebounded quickly and answered with their own goal just 18 seconds after the Mountie goal, tying the game at one.
- The Cougars continued to assert pressure on the Mounties as they put two more shots on goal and had two corner kicks before the ten minute mark. In the 13th minute, they added their second goal of the half, taking a 2-1 lead.
- Over the next 20 minutes, the Cougars were able to get off five shots, putting four on goal and one off the post, while the Mounties got two looks at the goal. In the 33rd minute, following the post shot, Chatham scored their third goal of the period.

Katie Figinski (Abingdon, MD, Edgewood) gave the Cougars a scare when she put a shot off the cross bar that would've cut the lead in half. The Mounties did not have another scoring opportunity in the first half.
- Chatham got an early opportunity in the second half, as they got a penalty kick from a Mountie foul. Davey made one of her 15 saves on the PK and kept the Mountie deficit at two goals.
- Only a few minutes later, in the 56th minute, Chatham would score off a corner kick pass, making the score 4-1.
- Mount Aloysius was able to put two more shots on goal over the rest of the game, having limited opportunities, leaving the final score at 4-1.
Into the Box Score
- Much of the box score was close, except for the shot opportunities. Chatham outshot Mount Aloysius, 28-9, for the game. They had 19 shots on goal, compared to only six accurate Mountie shots.
- Chatham committed one more foul in each half and picked up one more corner kick in each half, as well.
Up Next
- Mount Aloysius is set to return to conference play, this Saturday, when they host Pitt-Bradford.
- Pitt-Bradford is currently 0-6-1, on the season. They are scheduled to play Bethany on Thursday afternoon, prior to Saturday's matchup with the Mounties.
- The Mounties have won their previous three matchups with the Panthers. In their last meeting, in 2019, they won 2-0.
