Mounties Roughed Up by Lions

READING, Pa. -- On Wednesday, the Mount Aloysius Women's Soccer team traveled to Albright to take on the Lions in a non-conference matchup. They fell 5-0 as they struggled offensively.

Leaders
- Kourtney Walls (Salix, PA, Forest Hills) led the Mounties with two shots, one landing on target.
- Courtney Vought (Somerset, PA, Somerset) and Mallory Woodward (Huntingdon, PA, Huntingdon Area) split six saves evenly, each playing 45 a half.

How It Happened
- Albright threw an early punch in the fray scoring the first goal of the game, in the 5th minute.
- The Lions continued to hit the Mounties hard, as they added a second goal, six minutes later, and another goal five minutes after that.
- Adding on to the already solid cushion, Albright scored their fourth goal of the first half, in the 24th minute. Mount Aloysius had not attempted a shot prior to the fourth goal.
- Mount Aloysius did produce some opportunities in the second half, but none fruitful as they finished the game scoreless.
- Albright was able to add one final goal in the 77th minute, giving them a 5-0 lead that wound up as the final.
