CRESSON, Pa. -- On Wednesday, the Mount Aloysius Women's Soccer team hosted La Roche, in an AMCC matchup. The Mounties and Redhawks scored a goal a piece, ending the game in a 1-1 draw.

Johnna Adams (Lancaster, Pa. /Â Hempfield) scored the first goal of the game, in the third minute, on a penalty kick. The goal was her second of the season.

Jordan Mason (Hagerstown, Md. / St. Maria Goretti) led the Mounties with five total shots and three shots on goal.

Heidi Patten (Reading, Pa. / Exeter Township), had a team-high, four saves.
How It Happened
- Adams got the action started quickly for Mount Aloysius. The Redhawks committed their first foul of the game, inside the box, giving the Mounties the penalty kick. Adams put the goal in the top right corner and gave the Mounties a 1-0 lead, just before the three-minute mark.
- Mount Aloysius continued to put the pressure on La Roche in the first half, putting six shots on goal and having multiple other close calls, both high and/or wide by a small margin. However, they were unable to score, heading into halftime up 1-0.
- Over the first 20 minutes of the second half, the teams traded four shots on goal, with each keeper making two saves. In the 68th minute, the Redhawks scored on a header to knot the game at one.
- Each team put one more shot on goal over the final 23 minutes, but neither hit the back of the net. The game ended in a 1-1 draw.

- Mount Aloysius dominated a majority of the game, tallying 21 total shots compared to just five Redhawk shots. They also had a 10-5 advantage in shots on goal.
- In addition to shot attempts, the Mounties had six corner kicks, while La Roche only had three.

- Mount Aloysius will stay at home for their final two regular season games. Saturday's game will be Senior Day, as the Mounties honor their graduating players.
- As part of a Men's & Women's Doubleheader, the Mounties will host Hilbert. The Women's game will begin at approximately 3:15 p.m.
