ALFRED, N.Y. -- The Mount Aloysius women's soccer team scored two late goals to defeat AMCC No. 3 seed Alfred State 2-0 on Saturday afternoon, securing a spot in the AMCC tournament semifinals.
Leaders
- Jordan Mason (Hagerstown, MD, St. Maria Goretti) was involved with both goals, assisting on the first and scoring the second.

Jasmine Hinton (Huntingtown, MD, Huntingtown) scored the first goal, giving her a team-high seven goals on the season.

Heidi Patten (Reading, Pa., Exeter Township) recorded three saves during the game.
How It Happened
- The Mounties had six shot opportunities in the first half but did not find the goal. However, they also held Alfred State scoreless during the period, meaning the game was tied 0-0 at halftime.
- In the second period, each team had a couple looks at goal before the Hinton got the Mounties on the board on a pass from Mason in the 75th minute for a 1-0 lead. Then, approximately three minutes later, Mason scored an insurance goal for a 2-0 advantage. The Mounties closed out the final portion of the game to win by a final score of 2-0.
