ALTOONA, Pa. -- The Mount Aloysius Men's Tennis team played three matches, over the weekend, all against AMCC opponents. They fell in all three matches, to Pitt-Greensburg, Penn State Altoona, and Penn State Behrend.
On Friday, the Mounties hosted the Bobcats of Pitt-Greensburg. They fell, 6-3.
Tanner Beck (Lancaster, PA, Hempfield) led the Mounties, as he helped to score two of their three points, winning in both his #2 Doubles slot, with
Louis Bez (Bordeaux, France, Lycée Sainte-Marie de la Bastide), and at #3 Singles. Bez added the other point, as he won at #4 Singles, 6-3, 6-0.
On Saturday, Penn State Behrend visited the Mounties. They blanked the Mounties, 9-0, winning every match. The Mounties followed that up by traveling to Penn State Altoona on Sunday. The Mounties fell, 8-1. Their lone point was scored by
Cole Kazmierczyk (Johnstown, PA, Richland), who won at #1 Singles. He won a tight match, winning the first set, by way of a tiebreaker, and winning the second set, 7-5.
The Mounties will return to action, next weekend, when they travel to Susquehanna, to take on the Riverhawks in a non-conference matchup.
