Feres and Lee Named to All-AMCC Golf Teams

CRESSON, Pa. -- On Thursday, the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) announced their annual All-Conference teams for Men's Golf. Mount Aloysius freshman, Felix Feres (San Luis Potosí, Mexico / Montverde Academy (Fla.)), and Graduate Student, Aloysius Lee (Puchong, Malaysia / SMK Taman S.E.A), were both named to the All-Conference list.

Feres earned a position on the All-AMCC Second Team during his freshman campaign, ranking ninth in the conference with an 80.82 scoring average. He opened his career with a two-day total of 152 at the Gatorade Collegiate hosted by Wooster, in the opening tournament of the season. Feres shot 74 during the first round, marking his lowest score of the fall. He posted four rounds in the 70s, including another 74 at Sinking Valley Country Club, on Day Two of the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic. In the AMCC Tournament, at Indiana Country Club, Feres shot an 82-89-171 to finish in a tie for 25th place.

Lee made the AMCC All-Conference teams for the fifth time in his career, earning a spot on the Third Team in 2023. He had previously been a three-time Second Team member and was named to the First Team, back in 2021. Lee ranked 11th in the AMCC with an even 81.00 average. He tossed in three sub-80 scores, with his best round coming at Summit Country Club on Day One of the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic, where he shot a four-over-par, 76. In the AMCC Tournament, Lee carded a two-day total of 172, with an 83-89 split, finishing in a tie for 27th place. He will graduate in the spring as the only Mount Aloysius golfer to ever be named to the All-Conference team five times in his career.

Penn State Altoona's Peter Nusbaum was selected as the 2023 Golfer of the Year and Tom Koehle, Coach of the Year. Pitt-Greensburg's Cyrus Parvizi was named the Newcomer of the Year and was the only freshman to receive First Team recognition, as there were five other freshman, including Feres, that were on the All-Conference list.
