Women's Soccer Tabbed Fourth in Preseason Poll

CRESSON, Pa. -- On Monday, the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) released their annual Preseason Coaches' Poll for Women's Soccer ahead of the 2025 season. The Mount Aloysius Women's Soccer team was picked to finish fourth, which mirrors their finish in 2024.

Penn State Behrend earned top honors and were followed by Pitt-Greensburg and Penn State Altoona, respectively, to round out the top three. All three teams finished in the same positions in 2024 that they were picked this year, leaving the top four unchanged. Mount Aloysius finished last season with a 5-11-2 overall record and a 3-4-1 mark in AMCC play.

As part of the release, Mount Aloysius had seniors Maggie Cason (Spotsylvania, Va. / Riverbend) and Natalie Despot (Hollidaysburg, Pa. / Hollidaysburg) selected as Players to Watch. Despot was the Mounties only First Team All-AMCC selection in 2024, while Cason has been a three-time All-AMCC performer in her career.

The Mounties will look to improve on last season, under first-year head coach Tyler Sisler. They return all four players who earned All-Conference last season, while graduating a handful of contributors.

Mount Aloysius will open up the 2025 season, this weekend, with home games on both Friday and Saturday. Presidents' Athletic Conference foes Westminster and Waynesburg will visit Cresson, with Westminster opening up the season at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

There are nine home games on the Mounties' schedule, including Homecoming on September 27 against Hilbert and Senior Day on October 11 against Alfred State.
