Cresson, PA - The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced its Athletes of the Week selections in the sports of Men's and Women's Golf for the period running from September 3-10, 2025.

Freshman Chloe Fritch (Chicora, Pa., Karns City) was named the women's golf Player of the Week after she made an immediate impact for the Mount Aloysius women's golf team this past weekend, turning in a strong debut across two tournaments. She opened her collegiate career with an 81 at the Thiel Fall Invitational, earning a fifth-place finish out of 46 individuals. Fritch carried that momentum into the Sinking Valley Collegiate Classic (Penn State Altoona), where her opening-round 81 put her in second place after day one. She followed with an impressive 78 on day two, leading the way for the Mounties and securing a runner-up finish, finishing just one stroke shy of the individual winner, Saint Vincent's Lucy Brayton. 

After a strong and impressive start to her collegiate career, Fritch and her fellow Mountie teammates will prepare for the Guy & Jeanne Kuhn Invitational hosted by Allegheny College on September 21st and 22nd. The match will take place at The Country Club of Meadville.
