Golf Competes at The Gauntlet & Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Invitational

This past weekend, the Mount Aloysius golf teams split squads, sending the A Team to Lewisburg, Pa. for The Gauntlet and the B Team, along with the women's team, to Meadville, Pa. for the Guy & Jeanne Kuhn Invitational.

At The Gauntlet, the Mounties' A Team turned in a strong showing, finishing 5th in a competitive field of 15 teams and 75 players. Ethan Batstone (Swindon, England, South Gloucestershire and Stroud) and William Willis (Chesterfield, Va., Benedictine) led the way, each carding steady rounds to land near the top of the leaderboard. Batstone posted scores of 76–71, while Willis matched him with rounds of 75–71, giving the Mounties a reliable one-two punch.

Meanwhile, at the Guy & Jeanne Kuhn Invitational, Oliver Pepulis (Ludvika, Sweden, VBU El-och Energiprogrammet) and Tyler Oakes (Roaring Spring, Pa., Central) paced the B Team. Pepulis recorded rounds of 77–81, while Oakes rebounded on day two with scores of 82–78, helping the Mounties earn a solid middle-of-the-pack team finish against a strong regional field.

On the women's side, Chloe Fritch (Chicora, Pa., Karns City) continued her consistent play, leading the Mountie lineup with scores of 84–83. Her efforts earned her a 13th-place individual finish, a standout result in a highly competitive tournament.

The Mounties will look to build on this weekend's performances as they continue their fall schedule.
