Altoona, PA - This past weekend, Women's golf participated at the Thiel Fall Invitational on Saturday and the Sinking Valley Collegiate Classic in Altoona, PA on Sunday and Monday.

At the Thiel Fall Invitational on Saturday, Women's Golf finished in 6th place, shooting a 411 as a team. Freshman Chloe Fritch (Chicora, Pa., Karns City) made her Mountie debut in a big way for the Mounties as she shot an 81, which was good enough for 5th place individually. 

The next two days, Women's Golf traveled to Penn State Altoona for the Sinking Valley Collegiate Classic. 

Fritch again shined, leading the Mounties as they finished in 4th place as a team (826). The freshman shot an 81 on day one of the event and followed that up with a 78 today to close things out. Fritch's 159 between the two days was just one stroke shy of eventual champion Saint Vincent's Lucy Brayton. 

Up next: Women's Golf finishes up their busy weekend. They'll have this upcoming weekend off and will use that time to prepare for the Guy & Jeanne Kuhn Invitational on Sunday, September 21st. The Invitational will be hosted by the Allegheny College Gators, located in Meadville, PA.
