Cambridge, MA - The Mount Aloysius rifle team delivered a historic performance at the Mid-Atlantic Conference Championships in Cambridge, Massachusetts, capturing the overall conference title in both smallbore and air rifle while producing the 2026 Air Rifle Individual Champion and Athlete of the Year.
With this year's sweep, the Mounties have now claimed back-to-back conference championships in both disciplines since becoming a program, continuing to build a dominant foundation in just a short time of competition.
Team Champions in Smallbore and Air Rifle
Mount Aloysius claimed the MAC smallbore championship with a team score of 2245-75x, outpacing the field behind consistent performances across all three positions. James Stevens led the way with a 572-22x, while Kayla Trinkle followed with a 561-18x. Molly Miller added a 558-17x, and Samantha Hayman contributed a 554-18x to secure the team crown.
The Mounties continued their dominance the following day in air rifle, posting a championship score of 2313-128x. Molly Miller paced the squad with a match-best 589-41x, while Trinkle (581-31x), Sydney Castel (574-32x), and Stevens (569-24x) rounded out the scoring lineup.
Miller Headlines Championship Weekend
Molly Miller put together one of the finest championship performances in program history. She was crowned the 2026 MAC Individual Air Rifle Champion with her 589 and later earned MAC Athlete of the Year honors after finishing second in aggregate scoring with a 1147-58x across both disciplines.
In addition to her championship and Athlete of the Year recognition, Miller was presented with the Air Rifle Achievement Award for firing the highest air rifle score shot during the season (591).

The Conference Championship was the Mounties' last event of the season, as they just missed out on having qualifiers for the NCAA Tournament in Columbus, Ohio that will take place on March 13 and 14.
