Men's Golf Caps Memorable Season in Florida

Howey-In-The-Hills, FL - Men's golf wrapped up a historic 2025 season on Tuesday at the Mission Inn Resort - Las Colinas, finishing 31st out of 43 teams at the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship after completing the second round of competition.

After sitting 36th following Monday's opening round, the Mounties responded with a strong showing on day two, climbing five spots in the standings despite missing the tournament cut. Mount Aloysius posted a team score of 301 in the second round to finish the championship.

Senior Luke Sands once again paced the Mounties lineup, carding a 3-over 74 on Tuesday to close the tournament at 9-over overall. Sands delivered a steady round highlighted by 16 pars and played a key role in helping the Mounties improve their standing against the best golfers in Division III.

Ethan Batstone also fired a 74 in round two, rebounding well throughout the back nine to finish the championship at 17-over overall. Josh Nicholl added a 76, while William Willis rounded out the scoring group with a 77.

The Mounties competed shorthanded during the second round after Viktor Cussil was unable to participate due to injury.

Although the season came to an end in Florida, the 2025 campaign will be remembered as one of the most successful in program history. The Mounties captured their first-ever Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship during the fall season, earning the program's first NCAA Championship appearance and capping off a breakthrough year for Mount Aloysius golf.
