Fran Schmutz joined the Mount Aloysius College women's soccer program as a volunteer assistant coach in June 2018.
Schmutz will serve the Mounties primarily in the areas of recruiting and scouting potential players for the program in New Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania. He currently serves as the Director of Youth Development for Deptford Premier FC and Soccer Development Schools (SDS) as well as working as a trainer and coach for SDS. Additionally, he is a varsity assistant coach for the Cherry Hill East boys varsity soccer team.
Schmutz played three years of collegiate soccer at Albright College, where he was a two-year team captain while starting 46 career matches as a defender.Â
A Cherry Hill, NJ native, Schmutz is currently employed as an Educational Assistant in the Cherry Hill Public School system. He intends to pursue a graduate degree in elementary education from Rowan University.
