Alyssa Walters

  • Title
    Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach

Alyssa joins the Mount Aloysius volleyball coaching staff for the 2026 season, returning to her alma mater where she competed as a student-athlete before graduating from the Medical Assistant program in 2017.

A 2014 graduate of Northern Cambria High School, Alyssa’s volleyball journey began on the court for the Colts and continued through her years playing for Horseshoe Volleyball Club.

Driven by a deep passion for the game and a desire to give back to the sport, she transitioned into coaching at the club level with Ridgetop and AVIA Volleyball Clubs. Most recently, she served for four years as the Head Varsity Coach at Northern Cambria High School, where she led a highly competitive program.

Beyond the sidelines, Alyssa remains an active competitor in the volleyball community. She currently competes at a semi-professional level as a member of the Steel City Surge in Pittsburgh and frequently participates in high-level grass, sawdust and hard court adult volleyball tournaments.

Professionally, Alyssa is a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant with Indiana Regional Medical Center’s Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Department. Her clinical background in sports medicine provides a unique and valuable perspective on athlete health and performance. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé, her family, friends and her dog, Bandit.

We are excited to have Alyssa as a part of our coaching staff and we look forward to the knowledge and energy she will bring to the program.Â
