Bethany, WV - The Mount Aloysius men's soccer team lost 2-1 to Bethany College in their final non-conference game of the season on Wednesday afternoon.

Jim Smith scored at the 18:40 mark of the first half to make it 1-0 in favor of the Mounties. They held that lead until nine minutes into the second half as Bethany scored courtesy of Yannick Niedworok. With the game tied at 1-1, Bethany's Arkangelo James scored on a penalty kick with 16:37 remaining, and the Mounties couldn't even the score in the game's final minutes.

Smith, Nathan Bain and Aubrey Brown each registered two shots for the visiting Mounties.

Mount Aloysius returns to conference play with a trip to Pitt-Bradford on Saturday.
