Cresson, PA - The Mount Aloysius men's soccer team improved to 4-4 in conference play with a 6-2 victory over D'Youville on Saturday afternoon.

Jim Smith scored the game's first goal in the 15th minute off of a short corner pass from Winston Crozier. The goal would be the only scoring in the first half.

Five minutes into the second half, D'Youville scored on a free kick from just outside the box to knot the game at 1-1. However, Mount Aloysius responded as Xavier Cardona scored in the 60th and 65th minute to make it 3-1 before finding Joey Moxey on a cross in the 72nd minute to increase the lead to 4-1.

D'Youville cut the deficit to 4-2 on another goal from Smith in the 75th minute, but Leighton Shore and Kevin Ouellette both knocked in goals to help Mount Aloysius cruise to victory.

The Mounties are back in action on Tuesday with home match against Franciscan. With a victory, the Mounties will assure themselves a playoff spot for the first time in school history.
